there are shelves and horizontal scratch posts and little places to lay down that lead up to the ceiling on the walls, and platforms for the cats to walk right across the ceiling from multiple points so the cats have plenty of places to go that isn't just along the floor. there's also a couple of openings up there for the cats to get to the back
