SETTING QUESTIONS
Are characters allowed to wear other teams accessories/fashion styles?
For fashion, yes! However, obvious "icon" usage of another team is often frowned upon and could get you a bad reputation within your family and the other family you're borrowing from. Now a single Star hairpin will not get you in trouble with the Sun Sign team, but if you wear their sneaker brand, follow their style, plus get star tattoos, it's a weird look. At the very least, people will think you're thinking about marrying into the team and might start gossip mills around you.
Is there a sun, or a day/night cycle?
Yes! It's the same 24 hours except there are three suns and three moons. They do not have names as far as you know. Stars do!
How do languages work?
There's a standard Estorian language that everyone knows and certainly unique languages to different regions and then when you regain memories, you can learn your canon ones, too. If your character happens to speak a unique language, once they arrive on the boat, they'll suddenly find themselves proficient in the standard Estorian language. They will consider this some sort of auto-translate feature until they regain more memories and realize they're in a weird situation.
Are there [real life brand]/[real lifepopculture] in this world?
As a brand, the answer is NO! Characters cannot buy Gucci bags. However, they exist as fiction in this world. So Coca Cola, Hello Kitty, any merch would be more like "fandom merch", it's not unheard of to see these kind of brands in books or tv shows and fairy tales. Mcdonalds is now the Wcdonalds of this world.
If my character has multiple canon names, are they all true names or do I have to pick one true name?
If there is a name that the character considers their "real name", the one that would matter most to them for whatever reason (positive or negative it doesn't matter really), I would go with that.
However, if a character has multiple names like that, or there isn't one that really is more "real" than the other, all names can be considered true names! The most important option is do what you like best oocly but if you wanna go with IC reasoning, hopefully this helps.
If someone calls my character by their true (canon) name, do they still feel detached from it like in memories?
It will until enough memories return, but also there will be a sense of alarm/danger also.
What kind of appearance options can my character be for this AU?
The options are broad and wide! You can be a robot, you can be an android, you can have elf ears, cat ears, you can just be a cat, etc. The options are endless, feel free to ask if you're uncertain!
Can I make it that my character doesn't require food but something else to survive off of? Blood, music, etc
Yes, that's okay! You can just state that it's part of a blessing consequence or maybe there's a mystery disease that makes the body require [something else besides food] for nourishment. It would be rare, but not something insanely shocking. Just normal rare disease shocking.
Wait, Holy Order uses angel names from Christianity, does that mean christianity exists in Estoria?
No, it's very similar to RL brands and pop culture. Yes, the idea of heaven/hells exist in fiction, but it's very obviously a fictional thing. Like the equivalent of Aladdin's genie with three wishes and such. This applies to fairy tales, legends, etc.
Is there an Estoria version of things like occult/witchcraft/magic that kids could get into?
Yes! I don't have like specific details at this time, but you can come up with whatever myth lore!
AMNESIA QUESTIONS
If someone's going the amnesia route, do they have amnesia prior to arriving on the ship? Or is it after? Is it at birth, etc?
It happens anytime prior to arriving on the ship and not during (unless it's a temporary status effect).
Can a character have an AU version and THEN develop amnesia after?
Yes!

My character is dead. Can I app them?
Yes, you can! There are reasons why dead characters can be brought here, but when they're brought here, they are alive for the time being.
How many characters can I app at once?
You can app two!
How do you decide on team placements?
A factor of things! I try to prioritize any player's first character and try to get them in sooner. Seconds will usually be later but if they've been waiting for some time, they will sometimes get placed before another person's first.
Also, I go off of player team preferences. I might hold you for a little longer if I think there's a chance to squeeze you in your preferred team spot.
I also try to consider team dynamics. If a single team is filled with anti-social types, I'll try to add an extroverted fixer-upper type character that exists to help bring people together. If a team needs structure to work well, I'll try to place a leader type in there to help them out.
These are the main things I try to consider when I do placements!!
Who can app?
Friends of celifairy @ plurk can app! If we've known each other for a while in this circle, and we're chill, you can just ask me if it's chill to app. I still reserve the right to reject anyone for whatever reason, and that includes if I think placements will be difficult.
Can I invite friends?
I am going to be a little picky about this. If it's a friend you love and think will be a great fit, DM me! If it's from someone you've only shared a game with and they're asking you for an invite just to join, let them know this is fairly limited! I'm just going to immediately boot anyone, no warning, if I find the vibes are rank.
What kind of characters can I play?
Please be considerate of the setting, yes there will sometimes be murder and yes, there will be violent punishments that are gross! Though you are not required to play with it, it IS a part of the setting and other characters on your team might rp with said content. Apping Nanako from Persona 4 is gonna be a hard reject! Joke characters like the Burger King guy will also probably be a hard reject! Silly, out of place characters like Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony or Bugs Bunny will probably be a reject, BUT if I trust you will seriously RP them and have real reasons to rp them, I might allow it. Ask me!
Are PGAUs allowed?
Yes!
Are Flex Apps still a thing?
Yes! Usually this is more imperative for queue'd characters and since our queue has been low, I haven't really bothered with it as much. However, I do DM people ahead of time if I feel like a placement can suit them but they're still sitting in queue.
Are ocs/aus from established canons ok?
That's fine! For obvious reasons, you can't app someone like "Naruto's future girlfriend who is NOT Hinata".
Can I add a second account for icon purposes?
Yes, just let us know in discord and we'll add it.

How do Powers work in general?
In Estoria, certain people are blessed with abilities. They have a wide range and slowly they can increase in strength over time. For canon abilities, they will be unlocked as story and memory progression continues. Stay tuned for more info!
Appearance appendages like wings, cat ears, etc, can they be functional without blessings?
Wings are nonfunctional without a blessing or his own abilities, but if these appendages are tied to their canon form, powers will eventually start to slowly come back. As said earlier, canon powers will be functional soon!
Is it possible to activate canon powers without realizing you are doing it if it's some kind of ambient effect and not something you control?
No, they are locked until [certain conditions] are activated in game.
What about blessings?
Yes, that's fine!
So what if your character's "powers" require canon-specific items?
They will have a way to regain this in the future.
Have we always had blessings throughout our AU lives?
Yes! They can appear at any time, you can even say they haven't actually triggered yet.

Rule of fun is fine here, the general ic reason is blessings can sometimes override other blessings and sometimes they cannot. But if other player is ok, it is fine.
It's been a while since I got a blessing/addendum reply, how long should I wait before poking?
Give us 2-3 weeks, any longer, it's fine to poke and ask and make sure we didn't miss ya.
Can I swap out blessings?
Yes, that's fine! Just go to the powers page, there's a note about it but you just have to state you're making an addendum and list which power you're removing and which one you're adding in.
MEMORY/VISIONS RELATED QUESTIONS
When my characters regain their memories, they'll remember an important canon item that they need. Will they be able to access it someday?
Yes! More info on that later as the game continues on.
Will memories only be locked to winning performances?
No! There will be other things like events where you can obtain them. You shant go 9 months without a memory.
Can we get canon physical regains with our memories?
Yes! They will progressively come back over time. Please see the memories page for more info.
How do you normally get the visions from the performances?
Outside of LL Stage is Ticketmaster's booth. She is always the one giving you the memory item unless said otherwise.
Are memories experienced in 1st or 3rd person pov?
I'd say up to you, its prob easier to do 3rd person at the start and then slowly move to 1st person perspective, but go with your heart.
Is it accepted practice that when a family wins they get prizes & memoriess for all members not just the ones who attended, or does that apply to memoriess only?
Yes, someone will be offered by Ticketmaster to carry the rest home, and if no one does, they can pick them up at her booth anytime.
After 5 memories, people can see their old form in reflections. Can others also see this?
Yes, others can see what you see however, if you want that part to be delayed for others and keep it to yourself for a while, that's fine.
For in the future as characters take more memories, if someone has a memory and the character is hallucinating or seeing things that are not there, and it was shared and someone else saw the memory, would they also see the hallucinations?
The answer is yes they would see the hallucinations. Anything seen by the main memory holder is what ppl would see.
Do we get scars from traumatic injuries from performances?
You can, yes! Even though everyone has healing, a residual scar can be left. When you touch the scar, a scene from when you got that injury will replay in your mind, letting you relive that experience as a reminder.
For scars that come with bad performances, can characters self-discover the scar replay thing or does it have to be another person touching the scar?
Yes, it can be the character or someone else!
For single use memories, can other people take it by accident?
No, only the main memory holder can use it.

So if a cat is officially adopted by another Family member, does their +1 room/magic cat door access transfer over too?
If it's truly official, yes.
How do rooms work when characters disappear/drop?
The rooms they had gets "cleared out", even a new door gets put into place, however all items/visions etc go with the character. They'll be there either in the medic ward if the character fell asleep or if they're on a different part of the ship.
Do the team cabins have first aid kits? Or is there anywhere with a first aid kit
No! Nana can provide though.
Is it valid to assume characters can look up how to make some stuff online (eg recipes, simple electronics, crafting tutorial stuff if a craft is new to them, etc?)
Yes! Cellphones work similar to the way our cellphones work. There are apps, games, messages, emails, anonymous forums, the internets, etc. You can find answers to your basic questions (though you can't always trust what you see on the net), but you can't find EVERYTHING. No, you cannot watch a youtube tutorial on being a surgeon and magically become a surgeon. However, it can help you learn how to change oil in a car, sure.
Can there be things like crowbars in the Rage Room?
Yea, that's okay!
For the Empty Rooms in Team Cabins, can anyone else see inside of them?
No, only the team family can see inside the Empty Rooms. It is invisible to anyone else.
Is there anywhere on the ship that people can bird-watch (i.e. gardens since they seem fairly large or on the upper deck)?
Yes, there are birds around the upper deck, and you can see some chirping in the gardens.
Can I watch movies on youtube?
Maybe occasionally but theres a chance you end up only finding youtube movies that are in 16 parts and parts are missing and maybe if you work real hard you can find a movie.
For Dropped Characters, will there be a place for characters to find out?
Yes! Nana has started a notebook that people can check at her front desk and will maintain an online log for people to check.
If we try to use our netflix account on the boat, can we connect?
Yes, but the selection is bad as netflix will be. Cancelled seasons everywhere.
Can we have anonymous posts/group chats?
Yes! There is a specific place for this for Limelight guests.
Are profiles readily available?
No! You must ask the person to share their number with you and then you'll get the profile access.
At the intro of Limelight RP, characters were given a photo of a person from their canon. Do new characters also get these photos?
As of 02/17/2025, I hadn't specified this in any page so I believe people played it both ways. For IC reasoning, technically they do not get photos as a default, however, if another player characters mentions it to them, they might see a photo on their pillow later on.
Can characters record weird things/plot things on the boat?
Yes, unless specified otherwise.
If we steal extra furniture from the public areas of the ship, is that doable?
Yes, but if you steal too much, you might find some of it missing and back in its original spot.
Can characters who order off the full menu in the lounge take the food out with them?

Are profiles readily available?
No! You must ask the person to share their number with you and then you'll get the profile access.
At the intro of Limelight RP, characters were given a photo of a person from their canon. Do new characters also get these photos?
As of 02/17/2025, I hadn't specified this in any page so I believe people played it both ways. For IC reasoning, technically they do not get photos as a default, however, if another player characters mentions it to them, they might see a photo on their pillow later on.
Can characters record weird things/plot things on the boat?
Yes, unless specified otherwise.
If we steal extra furniture from the public areas of the ship, is that doable?
Yes, but if you steal too much, you might find some of it missing and back in its original spot.
Can characters who order off the full menu in the lounge take the food out with them?
Yes, but again, don't go too crazy or you might face Nana's wrath.
Are the 3F Subway trains/tunnels/etc all normal sized?
Yes!
If someone checked the port docking records from a month ago around the time the D.V. DD initially left port with the initial group, would there be any record of it docking and departing around then? Or just like maybe some people hanging around swear the ysaw a ship there but no record kinda deal?

Are characters considered missing when on the boat?
Nope, limelight stage is a fairly known thing so no one is going to worry about ppl participating
what happens if you throw your phone in the ocean do you just lose your phone?

Ask Nana, she will look at you with judgment though if the reason is dumb.
Can characters still stream to the viewers?
Yup! And the viewers will still be under the perception of everything being one large performance, no one will think anything illegal is happening.
When a character completes one of the colored gates in the tunnels, can we go back and explore?
Once a tunnel is explored fully, you cannot go back.

Can I RP a canon character as a producer?
Yes, but it should be someone who isn't likely to be apped. Akira from P5 is pretty popular so you can't app him, but Ichinomiya Jun from Cafe Kichijoji de is fair game.

I know that he keeps his appearance since that was already clarified! But are his wings nonfunctional without a blessing? Or would he have to wait for abilities and things to come back for memories with that? Same for his foxxy form, which he gained control of in the end. Would he be unable to change into a fox without regaining a memory that allowed that? Or a blessing?

As well as for the little sun-speckles (which are just cosmetic) and his sun-chasing eyes (also cosmetic). Would those remain because they're just cosmetic? Or not so much?
