basically what i'm thinking for this is being able to use various kinds of plants as an extra layer of protection over his skin! like a bunch of thick vines spread over his arm or his leg gets encased in bark, but it could also be moss, leaves, anything plant based basically.

i'm thinking maybe just one part of his body at once or for a limited time, with the caveat that the affected area is much harder to use while it's happening (he can't move his arm easily while it's viney and can't use his leg well while there's bark, etc etc) but let me know if it needs more limits!
